'Without having seen the Sistine Chapel [card] one can form no appreciable idea of what one man is capable of achieving.' - Johann Wolfgang Goethe
The Creation of Adam (c. 1508-1512 by Michelangelo Buonarroti, Italian Renaissance) is a fresco painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The painting, one of the most famous images in the world, captures the moment of Adam's creation made possible by the touch of God's finger. It is particularly remarkable in that it was created by a sculptor who had a very low regard for painting.
