These quatrefoil earrings are an adaptation from a thirteen piece gold necklace, representative of funerary jewelry found in Asia Minor such as Mesopotamia in the forth century B.C. These quatre-foil pieces with rosettes, depicting four symmetrically disposed spirals, are an old pattern found in archaeological remnants from the Ancient Near East. They are part of our museum jewelery collection preserving ancient designs now reinterpreted for today's woman. Quatrefoil Motif Ancient Near East Drop Earrings are made from 24 Karat antique gold-plate over pewter. Ear wires are gold-plate over sterling silver. Size: 3/4" x 3/4".
