Originally sculpted by Antonio Canova (Rome,1793), Cupid and Psyche is representative of the neoclassical style, which successfully combined emotion and purity. In the myth illustrated here, Eros is about to revive his lover Psyche, who has been put to sleep by a magic perfume.

With the original in the Louvre Museum, this reduction is made from resin with a pristine white marble appearance, superior refined details, and measures 11 in H x 10.5 in W x 7.5 in D, 3.6 lbs. PN 4969
