Prehistoric Art is defined as art which was created before writing, that is pre-history -- before the history was written down. The time period can be as early as 40,000 BCE during the Upper Palaeolithic period but varies by culture and geography around the world.

Prehistoric Art includes forms of story telling as found in cave paintings and rock art, as well as archaeological remains from that period including skulls, fossils and bones.

We enjoy selling reproductions of these early eras because they help connect today with then, and "us" with our ancestors.
