The Artis Orbis collection of artistic gifts and ornaments is a sensitive and genuine interpretation of outstanding paintings. The use of unfading, quality materials, complex printing techniques and contemporary design are instrumental in turning these masterpieces into items, both large and small, that have a lasting artistic impression. Traditional craftsmanship and elaborate and careful manufacture lends each piece its own, individual character.

Each item in the Artis Orbis Collection is crafted of the finest porcelain and glass and signed with the signature of the original artist, authenticating the piece as an officially licensed work of art. The painstaking production process begins with a critical review of each painting to determine the shapes and product forms that will best bring the artwork to life. Next, detailed photographs of the paintings are studied and digitally enhanced to shape the artwork to the porcelain or glass body. Color transfers or decals are then created and scrutinized to ensure the colors precisely match the original painting. The decals are then hand-cut and shaped to conform to each shape. The decals are each applied by hand and can be incredibly complex to create an open airy feeling perfect for the shape, or a full wrap without a hint of seam. Finally, the porcelain or art glass is then fired at extreme temperatures – in fact temperatures can come very close to the actual melting point of the glass shapes – creating yet another engineering fete. Finishing touches such as gold rims and hand-painted accents are added to make these pieces true works of art for your home.

Little air inclusions do not reduce quality but verify the complex production process in craftsmanship tradition. All decorations are dishwasher-safe. In order to take care of the valuable real gold covering we recommend cleaning by hand with a usual smooth washing-up liquid. All glass items with real gold decorations and – edges are not suitable for microwaves.
