  • 14.95 USD

This mouse pad features a design adapted from a frieze in the home of Adolphe Stoclet (Brussels, 1905-1909) by Gustav Klimt (Austrian, 1862-1918). The design was created during Klimt's golden period, so named because of Klimt's liberal use of gold paint and gold leaf in his paintings and mosaics at the time.

Decorate your desk with a mouse mat or coffee place mat and showcase your appreciation for art. This mouse pad has a green hue with geometric shapes and swills and measures 7 3/4 inches x 9 1/4 inches. It is made with a washable hard top finish in a mouse-friendly texture with a rubber skid resistant backing.

About Gustav Klimt:
At the turn of the twentieth century, the Austrian art world saw a mighty clash between the traditions-bound style of the Vienna Academy and power, eroticism, and symbolism of works by the Vienna Secession, a group of artists cofounded by Gustav Klimt (Austrian, 1862-1918). A portraitist and decorator, Klimt, who had rejected the mainstream and become a brilliant avant-garde outcast whose work flirted with pure abstractions, was excoriated by the critics for his brash new style.
