Tara Mother Goddess Compassion Buddhism Pewter Pendant Charm Necklace -
Tara represents the motherly aspect of compassion. Her name means "cross over", because she is the one who helps us to cross the ocean of material existence. Tara is said to have been created by a tear of Avalokitaishwara, "the lord who looks down in compassion." Tara is also the protector of the Tibetan people.
