# Cat Backside Third Eye View from Behind Humorous Cat Statue with Tail Up by Dubout 12.9H

## The Big Look Back: A Large Dubout Cat Backside Statue

This **large Dubout cat backside statue** makes the famous joke twice as grand. A black cat turns his head and lifts his tail. It measures 12.9 in H x 3.25 in W x 4.3 in D in hand painted resin.

**Albert Dubout** drew the original, and Parastone adapted it. The tail reveals what the title calls a third eye.

This is the larger version. The 12.9 inch Dubout cat has more height and a bolder tail. The joke reads from across a room.

The cat has a wide-eyed look of surprise. His tail is exaggeratedly stiff.

## Pen Strokes in Resin

The rough fur recalls the quick strokes of Dubout's nib. This tall cat third eye statue keeps the sketch energy of the drawing.

## Albert Dubout in Brief

Dubout was born in Marseille in 1905 and studied at the fine arts school in Montpellier. His first drawings appeared in a student journal in 1923. He drew for Paris magazines such as Le Rire and illustrated Rabelais and Balzac. He also designed posters and theatre sets.
