Egyptian Nefer Shape Hieroglyph Drop Dangle Earrings 1.25L

These earrings were inspired by a string of beads in the shape of a “Nefer” hieroglyph (original image above). Found by William W. Flinders Petrie on an excavation in 1921. The Nefer charms created for the necklace imitate the shape of “Nefer” sign, which means Goodness and Beauty. These adornments were intended to symbolically transfer such attributes to the wearer.

Made in USA from 24 Karat gold-plate over pewter. Measures approximately 0.4 in W x 1.25 in L each.
