Chinese Tibetan I Ching Spiritual Divination Wall Relief 12HPN# O-001S
This Chinese Tibetan I Ching Spiritual Divination Wall Relief shows a synthesis of Chinese, and Tibetan Buddhist influences that are typical of the Tantric art of Tibet. In the center of the calendar there is a wheel with the eight trigrams that comprise the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. The hexagrams are made up of continuous lines and broken lines, the yin and yang. They can be studied and read as an introduction to ancient Chinese and Tibetan cosmology. Vajrapani is the embodiment of the spiritual strength of the Buddhas. He appears in a wrathful aspect, displaying his power to overcome outer, inner and secret obstacles At the top of the relief there are several Buddhist deities lead by Manjusri, the Lord of Wisdom, cutting through ignorance with his sword.
