This is a very good size Happy Buddha for your desktop. He has quite a bit of weight and mass and makes a good presentation. HoTai holds a rosary in on hand and a foot outward seated in a good welcoming mudra pose from the practice of Buddhism. Happy Buddha statue is made from crushed stone and resin, antique red finish, and measures 6.5"H x 6"W x 6"D.

He was known for carrying a sack of candy which he handed out to children in the street. Many Chinese Buddhist believe he was an incarnation of the Maitreya Bodhisattva (the future Buddha).
