Collection: Bronze Gallery Quality
Bronze metal is used to make very fine quality statues. The sculptor creates the sculpture in clay, applies a wax covering, adds sand, then places it in a firm shell. Then the wax is heated and melted thereby creating a cavity into which liquid molten bronze is poured. We call the creation of a bronze statue this way as "lost wax process". Through history, only the finest statues were made out of bronze because of the expense. Patrons usually included the church, kings and queens, aristocrats, and wealthy collectors. Today bronze is collected by a wider range of people because it comes in different metal qualities.
This Bronze Gallery Quality Collection is an affordable selection of fine quality statues for the discerning collector who prefers metal over today's more affordable material combination, bonded bronze (cast resin with bronze powder).
