Medieval Tapestries Wall Hangings

The Lady and the Unicorn is a series of six tapestries woven in Flanders of wool and silk and is often considered one of the greatest works of art of the Middle Ages in Europe. Five of the tapestries are interpreted as depicting the five senses. Another famous medieval tapestry is the Bayeux Tapestry. This wall hanging illustrates the epic battle between England and France at the  Battle of Hastings in 1066 between the armies of Harold, King of England, and William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy.
