Cross of San Damiano Byzantine Pendant Pewter Unisex Charm Necklace 2LPN# LOG-101
In this pendant, Christ appears in crucifixion on a cross. The Cross of San Damiano is one of the most famous crosses of Christendom. It was found by St. Francis of Assisi in the chapel of San Damiano, not far from Assisi. Saint Francis repaired the chapel with his own hands, as it had fallen down almost completely. The cross was broken into several pieces. When St. Francis saw the broken cross, he wept, and began to repair it. Today the Chapel of San Damiano is a place of pilgrimage for Christians of all kinds. St. Francis was the first to see the beauty of God, in the sun was a brother, the moon, a sister.
