Mariachi Band Violin Player in Black Statue, Day of the Dead 5.5HPN# T78840
Mariachi music is a well known type of Mexican music composed of a large group of musicians playing string instruments and brass. The songs are often mournful of lost love or lost opportunities composed in folk songs about their country farms or lands. It is a style of folk music traditionally associated with large family celebrations. Mariachi band members wear finely made costumes "trajes" decorated with ornate hand stitching and embroidery originating from the colonial period.
This Day of the Dead skeleton statue illustrates a Violin player from a Mariachi band wearing a black trajes with white trim. Made from resin with hand painted color details and measures 5.5 in H x 3.5 in W x 3 in D.
NOTE: the base of the statue has an interlocking pattern on the edges and can be attached to any of the other mariachi figures to form a single continuous floor.
