Aphrodite (Venus) of Rhodes Holding Hair Kneeling Statue 10H -
Aphrodite (Venus) crouches as she wrings water from her hair after emerging from the sea. Now in the Archeological Museum of Rhodes, Greece, it is a popular sculpture type with another surviving fragmentary version in the Louvre Museum, Paris.
Made from white carrara bonded marble, imported from Italy, black marble base, and 10 in H x 5 in W x 5 in L. Weighs approx. 4 lbs. (PN 4798)
