His name means Who is like God? That question is the battle cry of the Army of God. The word angel describes a heavenly spirit who delivers messages from God. Archangel marks a messenger of great importance. Devotional writings about Michael appear in Christian, Jewish, and Muslim cultures. Jewish tradition names him the guardian angel of Israel. He has led God's army against the forces of the great dragon. An old tradition also says he concealed the tomb of Moses. This kept the people from the sin of hero worship, which Satan hoped to encourage. Each Saint Michael statue continues the long tradition of showing him as a protector.

Lost Wax Bronze Casting

This bronze angel statue is cast by the lost wax method, a technique used for centuries. A St Michael statue cast this way keeps fine detail in the feathers, folds, and curls. The marble base gives the bronze a solid footing.

Displaying the Saint Michael Statue

At 19 in H, this archangel Michael bronze statue suits a console table, mantel, or bookshelf.
