Venus by Botticelli Greeting Card with Stickers -
The Birth of Venus wall painting (c. 1485-1486 by Sandro Botticelli) is one of the masterpieces of the Renaissance, inspired by ancient descriptions of long-lost Greek masterpieces. The painting hangs in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. We see Venus being born from a sea shell on the Venus die-cut greeting card. Sandro Botticelli (c. 1445-1510, Italian Renaissance)
Botticelli worked for the Medici's and was commissioned by Pope Sixtus IV to decorate the Sistine Chapel. His reputation was in decline for many years until his rediscovery in the late 19th century.
