Architectural Display Columns
Architectural columns were first used in ancient times as structural support for larger buildings and decorative elements. In the Western world, the ancient Greeks developed the Orders of Architecture: Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. Each order had its own canon of proportions and design intricacies. One of the most apparent was in the column designs.
From ancient times forward, designers evoke ancient times through the use of these column designs in home decor, column displays, garden statues, and public buildings. We celebrate them here through our offerings of Art Display Column Pedestals in various sizes and widths. They can be used to display statues, as end tables with a glass top, or as consoles when ordered as a pair.
