He has fought bravely in the Gaul's fifty year war with the Greeks without armor and wearing only a Celtic torque around his neck. From the Capitoline Museum, Rome, this sculpture is a Roman copy after a Hellenistic bronze original of the 3rd century BC.
Made from plaster with a antique white wash, the Dying Gaul is suitable for interior use, and measures 14 in H x 13 in W x 30 in L. Estimated 45 - 55 lbs.
