This is a genuine fossilized theropod tooth from the Javelina Formation - a tooth from a carnivorous dinosaur living in the final chapter of the Mesozoic, approximately 66 million years ago. The Javelina Formation was a rich environment along the ancient Western Interior Seaway, where large predators including raptors and possible Tyrannosaurids left their teeth in the fossil record.
