History:
The Drakkar, or Viking Longships, were long, narrow, and highly flexible vessels used by the Vikings for trade, exploration, and warfare. These ships had symmetrical ends and could reach speeds of up to 15 knots. Often called "dragonships" because they frequently featured dragon-shaped bows or other carved figures of mythical beings, they symbolized Viking naval power for a long time. Their reach extended beyond Scandinavian waters, across the North and Baltic Seas, and even to distant regions such as Iceland, Greenland, North America, and the Mediterranean.
