A Prodigy from Warsaw
Chopin was born on March 1, 1810, near Warsaw. By age seven he was giving public concerts.
He left Poland in 1830 and reached Paris in October 1831. He never returned to his homeland.
Nohant and the Late Masterworks
From 1839 to 1846 Chopin spent most summers at George Sand's estate in Nohant. He composed many works there.
He gave the nocturne, ballade, prelude, and polonaise new weight. He died in Paris on October 17, 1849, aged 39.

Display and Care
The Chopin bust is light enough for a piano top, shelf, or desk. This Polish composer bust needs only a soft dry cloth for dust. Treat the Chopin composer sculpture gently. Keep it away from damp air and strong sun.
Chopin in Brief
This Chopin bust honors a man who wrote almost entirely for the piano. His nocturnes, ballades, and etudes still define Romantic keyboard music.
