Un Nid Douillet

In French, a nid douillet is a cozy nest, a feather bed, or a snug corner. This nid douillet cat figurine fits that idea.

It recalls how we treat kittens like little babies when we bring them home. The kitten gets comfortable with his bear.

A Curio Cabinet Companion

A kitten sleeping with teddy statue adds warmth to a cabinet of cat collectibles. The cozy nest cat basket statue is small enough for a crowded shelf.

Add the Dubout cat teddy bear basket figurine to our Dubout Cat Collection. Browse Animal Sculptures Collection or the wider Parastone Museum Replicas too.

Every Dubout cat teddy bear basket figurine invites you to imagine a kitten's first nights at home. The kitten sleeping with teddy statue speaks to anyone who has hugged a stuffed animal.

A cozy nest cat basket statue like this feels like a lullaby.

Display and Care

The three pieces weigh 13 oz together. The small teddy can slip away, so keep it near the basket. Dust it with a soft dry brush. Keep it away from damp air.

Albert Dubout in Brief

Dubout was born in Marseille in 1905 and studied in Montpellier. He drew for magazines, posters, and theatre sets until his death in 1976. The Dubout cat teddy bear basket figurine shows his gentler side. The nid douillet cat figurine suits it well.
