Warm and Snug

The cat looks warm, tucked deep in the pillow. The kitten fluffy pillow statue is a gentle joke about our own wish for a nap.

Dubout drew cats at rest as lovingly as cats in mischief. Here the fluffy pillow is almost larger than the sleeper.

A Paperweight with a Purr

The cat nap paperweight statue has enough heft to hold down a letter. Two pieces, a pillow and a cat, let you move the sleeper around.

As a Dubout cat desk figurine, it brings his humor to a work space. Add it to our Dubout Cat Collection. Browse Animal Sculptures Collection or the wider Parastone Museum Replicas too.

Display and Care

At 8 oz, the Dubout sleeping kitty pillow figurine is light but steady. Dust both pieces with a soft dry brush. Keep the small cat from rolling off the desk.

Albert Dubout in Brief

Dubout was born in Marseille in 1905 and studied at the fine arts school in Montpellier. His first drawings appeared in a student journal in 1923. He drew for Paris magazines such as Le Rire and illustrated Rabelais and Balzac. He also designed posters and theatre sets.

The Dubout sleeping kitty pillow figurine shows his softer side.
