The Story Behind the Eloise Fox Wall Mount

Eloise began in a storybook. Artist Jessica Hiemstra wrote Eric and Eloise, a tale of unlikely friendship between a fox and a hare. The Eric + Eloise Collection launched in 2017 as a holiday offering. It has grown into a year-round series with a whole cast of characters. Eloise is the quiet, quirky fox at the heart of the tale. She was inspired by Hiemstra's cousin, Sarah Bagle. As Eric and Eloise decor, Eloise carries a piece of that story into your home. Each piece is Jessica Hiemstra wall art with its own character.

Reynard and the Clever Fox

Foxes have played the clever hero of European fables for centuries. Reynard the Fox, the sly trickster of medieval beast tales, was a favorite. Victorian taxidermist Hermann Ploucquet even staged Reynard scenes in miniature tableaux. This Eloise fox wall mount keeps the fox's wit but trades the trickery for good manners. As fox wall decor, she looks ready to read quietly by the fire. Fans of animal art will enjoy her. Her gentle charm makes this Jessica Hiemstra wall art feel like a storybook illustration.

The Woodland Crew Beside the Eloise Fox Wall Mount

Eloise keeps good company in this cast of Eric and Eloise decor. Eric is a mustached hare in a monocle. Eugene is a monocled moose. Frankie is a pipe-smoking buck. Charlie is an aviator duck. Beatrice is a bear in round glasses. Emerson is a top-hatted pheasant. Margie is a scarf-adorned doe. Louie is a bow-tied mouse. Avery is a pheasant in a fascinator. The collection celebrates friendship across differences. A quirky woodland crew finds belonging in one another. Each character has its own accessory and its own personality, so the cast invites collecting.

Hanging Your Eloise Fox Wall Mount

This Eloise fox wall mount has a keyhole slot on the back for hanging. At 6.6 lb, she should hang from a wall stud or a rated anchor. Her narrow shape suits a stairwell, a bookshelf wall or a cozy reading corner. Her antique gold tone looks lovely against deep green or navy walls. Dust the fox wall decor with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could dull the finish. Jessica Hiemstra wall art like this hangs well in any room. Eric and Eloise decor mixes easily with both vintage and modern pieces.
