The Five Scents

Earth is sage, lavender and verbena. Water is seaweed and musk. Fire is orange and cinnamon.

Wood is ferns and forest. Metal is frankincense and myrrh with benzoin. Each scent is also sold on its own in our Museumize incense collection.

The Five Phases

Chinese thought names five phases: earth, wood, metal, fire and water. Britannica says they describe change in the cosmos.

Zou Yan shaped the theory into a system in the 3rd century BCE. Five elements incense like this set gives each phase its own scent.

About Feng Shui

Feng shui is an ancient Chinese practice for arranging buildings, spaces and objects. Its aim is to keep qi, the vital force, flowing harmoniously.

A jumbo incense pack suits a shop, a studio or a gift. Burn one scent at a time.

Burning and Care

Burn it in a ventilated room on a proper holder. Never leave burning incense unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.

Burn this Feng shui incense set for a room that needs variety. Pick Earth, Water, Fire, Wood or Metal by mood. Fans of five elements incense, Chinese phases scent sticks and a jumbo incense pack will find it handy. Any Feng shui incense set suits gifting.

About Chinese phases
