Ruler of the Cretaceous Seas
Mosasaurs were marine reptiles, not dinosaurs. They lived from about 100 to 66 million years ago. The largest were nearly 50 feet long.
They died out in the same event that ended the dinosaurs. This Cretaceous marine reptile tooth is a piece of that lost world.
Built to Bite
Mosasaur teeth were cone-shaped, ideal for catching fish. They were shed and replaced regularly.
Scientists read the diet from tooth shapes, stomach contents and bite marks. Add this pocket fossil specimen to our Prehistoric Collection and Natural History Collection.
Display and Care
Keep the authentic Mosasaur tooth fossil in its charm box. Fossil teeth are delicate.
