Modigliani's timeless vision of Female Beauty

Modigliani Cubic Female Head Block Elongated Statue is a sculptural interpretation of Amedeo Modigliani’s distinctive approach to the human form. Known for his elongated proportions and meditative stillness, Modigliani translated his painterly sensibility into sculpture through simplified, vertical structures that emphasize presence over detail.

This Parastone Mouseion 3D Collection reproduction reflects the artist’s early sculptural experiments, shaped by influences from African and Oceanic carving traditions and classical ideals absorbed during his training in Italy.

We recommend this Modigliani Female Head as a natural pairing statue.

About the Artwork | Modigliani Head Statue

This cubic female head originates from Modigliani’s sculptural period between 1911 and 1912, when he focused on carving simplified human faces in stone. The elongated vertical structure reflects his search for harmony, balance, and a sense of timeless stillness.

The Amedeo Modigliani statue is influenced by traditional African sculpture and Oceanic forms, which emphasize abstraction, symbolic identity, and spiritual presence rather than naturalistic detail. These elements merge with European modernism to create a meditative portrait form.

In its sculptural interpretation, the piece emphasizes the vertical rhythm and architectural quality of the face, transforming the portrait into an almost sacred object.

About the Artist

Amedeo Modigliani (1884–1920) was an Italian modernist painter and sculptor associated with the Paris School. Born in Livorno, he studied in Florence and Venice before moving to Paris in 1906, where he became part of the Montmartre avant-garde circle.

Initially trained in sculpture, Modigliani was forced to abandon carving due to ill health, but his sculptural experience continued to shape his painting style. His work is characterized by elongated figures, simplified features, and a strong sense of emotional stillness.
