Dust From the Birth of the Solar System
Before the Sun, the Solar System was a swirl of dust and ice. The Allende meteorite holds clues from that time.
It fell over northern Mexico on February 8, 1969. It is a CV3 carbonaceous chondrite and holds calcium-aluminum inclusions, among the first solids to condense.
Meteorite Jewelry to Wear
The Nebula Fire bracelet turns that ancient dust into meteorite jewelry. A sterling silver backing frames the bead.
It makes a striking gift for anyone who loves space. See more in our Natural History Collection.
