This ouroboros pentacle necklace circles a serpent around a five-pointed star, its tail held in its own mouth. The closed loop of the snake's body frames the pentacle at the center. It joins two old symbols of unity and balance in one small pendant.

Gnostic writers of late antiquity used this image to describe the material world as an unbroken cycle. The serpent's ring never stops, spiritual and physical joined without a visible seam. The pentacle inside adds the four elements and spirit.

The Serpent and the God Abraxas

Gnostic tradition linked the ouroboros to Abraxas, a composite deity. His name totals 365 in Greek numerology, one day for each turn of the solar year. Abraxas embodied divine power beyond the split of good and evil. He makes a fitting counterpart to a serpent with no beginning or end.

Balance Within the Ring

Set within the coiled serpent, the pentacle's five points are protected by the larger cycle the snake represents. Earth, water, fire, air, and spirit stay bound together at the center. The two symbols suggest that elemental balance exists inside a larger pattern of constant renewal.

Pairing With Other Symbol Pieces

This bronze piece pairs naturally with its pewter counterpart, BZP-1028. Both combine the ouroboros in slightly different forms. Collectors sometimes wear both together to compare the bronze and pewter finishes side by side.

Styling and Wearing

The compact bronze pendant sits neatly on its 33 in cord. It is an easy piece to layer with other symbol jewelry in the same line.

Care Notes

Keep away from moisture and polish occasionally with a soft cloth to maintain the gold-tone finish.
