A Motif From Granada

Granada, Spain, is home to the Alhambra and the Generalife. The Generalife was a summer palace and country estate of the Nasrid rulers. Its garden has a four part layout with a central water channel. The two sites became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. The granada spanish motif gives the finial old world character.

What Is a Finial?

A finial marks the top or end of an object. The word comes from the Latin finis, meaning end. In architecture, finials emphasize the peak of a dome, spire, gable, or roof. A cast cement lawn ornament is made to withstand outdoor elements.
