Viking Shield Necklace in Clan Colors

Shields of the North
A painted pattern would have identified the clan of a warrior. The Vikings lived in Northern Europe during the Middle Ages. Their Age ran from 800 to 1066 CE. The red white shield pendant echoes those patterns.
Jewelry of the Vikings
The word Viking means to raid in Old Norse. The card describes why Vikings wore jewelry and how it changed. This Norse costume necklace makes a fun part of a home school kit.
Wearing the Shield
A Viking shield pendant hangs well over a plain tunic. A second red white shield pendant could mark another clan in a group costume. A Norse costume necklace also helps tell the story in a classroom.
Styling and Wearing the Viking shield necklace
Wear it as part of a Viking historical costume. It also helps teach children about the Middle Ages. Browse related pieces in our Vikings and Norsemen collection. Prefer a chain? The 18 inch Silver-Plated Snake-Link Necklace Chain is sold separately.
Care Notes
Wipe the resin with a soft, dry cloth. Keep it away from water and strong chemicals. Store it flat to protect the paint and the cord.
